Keep Covington Beautiful Program Manager (part-time)

The Center for Great Neighborhoods is a non-profit community development corporation focused on enhancing the quality of life in the city of Covington, Kentucky. We are seeking  to fill a part-time position to help manage and grow initiatives and systems under the Keep Covington Beautiful (KCB) program. This program provides Covington residents with information, awareness, and programming related to keeping neighborhoods clean, green, and beautiful, as well as providing the tools they need to do so and further its impact on our community in waste management, litter reduction, recycling, and community beautification.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall administration of the program, including but not limited to
Event planning support for our annual events (Great America Cleanup, River Sweep, Recycling Drop Off Event, and the Litter Index).
Program planning support  for core programs (Adopt-A-Spot, Cigarette Litter Prevention Program, community cleanups and beautification, Christmas Tree Disposal, Holiday Light Recycling).
Support implementation of  environmental education programs focusing on solid waste education, recycling, litter prevention, beautification, and community involvement.
Additional tasks include maintaining social media, e-newsletter, and website presence; creating documents such as flyers, posters, spreadsheets, mailings, and reports.

Desired Qualifications:
Desire to learn and participate  in fundraising, event planning, marketing, recruiting, and managing volunteers and/or business/office management preferred.
Must have access to reliable transportation.
Working knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word and Excel and experience creating graphic materials such as flyers/posters.
Experience or desire to learn using a wide variety of social media platforms.
A genuine interest in appropriate waste management, including recycling, litter removal, as well as preservation of natural resources, and the overall beautification of Covington, Kentucky.

Job Type:
Entry level part-time position; will typically work a flexible schedule of 12-15 hours a week, which will include some weekends and evenings for meetings, events, clean-ups, fundraising, etc.

The position pays $18/hour.
