Covington Sparks is a free Saturday program for elementary-aged youth. In partnership with the Covington Independent Public Schools, Sixth District Elementary allows us to utilize their space and sports equipment to provide a safe space to be with friends and positive adults through physical recreation, artistic programming, and educational activities from outside organizations. We continue to evolve the program to cater to the needs and interests of the families in our community. Our 2026 spring Covington Sparks programming has come to a close. Check back in the fall for updated program days!
Sparks in the Park
Free, family-focused community program that brings neighbors together through creativity, play, and hands-on learning. Held throughout the summer at Randolph Park (David Housely Pavilion), these events feature themed activities, art projects, recreation, music, food, and opportunities for families to connect while exploring new ideas and experiences together. This is in Partnership with ArtMarKit and The City of Covington’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Step into an unforgettable journey through time at Sparks in the Park: Lost Worlds—A Time Travel Adventure! Families are invited to join us for a free evening of hands-on fun, creativity, and exploration as we build a community time machine and travel through the past, present, and future together.
Kids and adults alike can enjoy exciting activities including cave painting, a dinosaur dig, hieroglyph carving, invention prototyping, and interactive story experiences. With music from a live DJ, recreation activities, art projects, and free food provided, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Bring the whole family and discover, create, and imagine as we explore lost worlds and future possibilities. Sparks in the Park is designed for all ages and offers a fun way to connect with neighbors, learn together, and make lasting summer memories.
